TUESDAY DECEMBER 10TH ERV’S HOLIDAY ALES DINNER
Sauerbraten Stew with Winter Root Vegetables & 4 Elf Winter-Dark Horse- Aroma is certainly Christmas, Ginger, Brown sugar & Nutmeg. Appearance is a cola brown, light tan head. Taste is intense, tastes like a Gingerbread man. Mouthfeel is smooth, soft carbonation with a velvety taste.
Winter Squash, Garbonzo Beans, Granny Smith Apples & Feta Cheese with a Dijon Vinaigrette paired with Southern Tier Krampus Helles Imperial Pils. Strong hoppy aroma of pine and grapefruit. Pours a clear medium amber. The taste is rather surprising, especially after the hop filled fragrance. It is malty & slightly sweet. Malt, bread, grain, combine with a piny finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. 9% ABV; Lakewood, NY St. Nicholas, aka Santa Claus, is a magical figure, the bringer of gifts and an icon of holiday spirit. Forgotten by most is his evil side kick and enforcer of ‘the list’. European tradition says while St. Nick is busy delivering presents to good little boys and girls, Krampus hands out punishments to the bad. A fanged, goat-horned bully, the Christmas Devil uses sticks and chains to beat the naughty children. Dark malts and aromatic hops create the diabolical spirit of this brew. It is finished with lager yeast and aged cold for no less than 30 days. This Imperial Helles Lager will warm even the darkest hearts. This season, replace the cookies with Krampus. If he happens to pay a visit, toast to him with this devilish brew. Merry Kramp-mas to all, and to all a good pint!
Christmas Chicken Cavatappi- Fresh White Meat Chicken sautéed with Cavatappi Noodles in a Parmesan Cream sauce with hints of Roasted Red and Green Peppers for Holiday flair paired with Bell’s Winter White- Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a short white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, banana, wheat and citrus. Flavor was wheat, banana, orange peel, citrus and some light spices with a crisp and refreshing finish. 5% ABV, Kalamazo, MI
Erv’s Own Figi Pudding- What we envision Figi Pudding to be- Pistachio Pudding cake with Almond Crème de’ la Crème atop a Cherry Cloud paired with 3 Floyd’s Alpha Klaus Imperial Porter 100 points Ratebeer & Alpha King’s cousin, brewed with English chocolate malt & Mexican sugar. Dark heavy pour, nose is all kinds of chocolate, coco & roast vanilla. Taste follows the nose with some residual hop bitterness. 7.5% ABV; Munster IN

Our Beer Dinners are open seating from 5 to 8 pm and feature the very best in
craft beers paired with a chef inspired menu created just for the event.
The Food & Beer are available in limited quantity, so reservations are strongly suggested to assure availability .
Most Beer Dinners FOR 2014 are priced at $35-$40
A designated driver dinner option is also available at a reduced price.
