Chef Mario

Our next blog post is about the man who has brought the most positive change to our organization since the covid era. Introducing our Head Chef, Mario Perez.
Chef Mario joined Erv's Mug in 2021 as a line cook. Within the first month of his tenure, he was quickly established as the quarterback of our cooking line. He had a natural timing for food that couldn't be taught. His experience in kitchens is almost 20 years and was a much needed voice during the uncertain times of the pandemic.
We realized his tremendous talent and quickly offered him the role of kitchen manager. He learned incredibly quickly the ins and outs of our organization and was again promoted to head chef.
One of Chef Mario's responsibilities is planning our soup schedule for the week. While our french onion soup is our house recipe and always available, our daily soups rotate with Mario's creative talents. We're proud to mention that our soup won "The Best of the Burbs" from Milwaukee Magazine last month. Congratulations Chef Mario for your efforts in making Erv's a cherished place among our guests.
