Holiday Closures

The number one day to go out to eat is Mother's Day followed closely by Easter. But you'll never find Erv's open on these days or any other major holiday. The first Christmas Holiday that I celebrated with my dad at home for the whole day, I was 14 years old. That was also the year he first opened Erv’s Mug.

For many industries, holidays are the time to serve others. Firefighters, Police Officers, & Healthcare Workers are always staffed, holiday or not. But in the restaurant industry, that's often a choice by the organization, and usually the owner. Erv had always promised that when he had his own place, he would give his employees off on those days, so that they wouldn’t miss out with the family like he did in my early years. We maintain this tradition to this day! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
